Steve-Lawler-Main

As I rouse myself from a two-hour midday nap, it has become very clear to me that I’m still recovering from last week’s BEMF. I’ll admit it’s been a while since I went for B2B sunrise hangs, but this weekend provided fine excuses to stay up past my bed time. Pete Tong‘s Friday night party at Analog BKNY was really just the precursor for the unbelievable Kingdom/Relief warehouse rager that went down at 121 Morgan Ave on Saturday night. I really let my basic self fly free during the Gorgon City set, and I have zero regrets.

Most sane people would take a break after the annual electronic onslaught, but what’s the fun in that? After all, the show must go on! And there’s no show without you guys. So swing by the bodega. Grab a case of Red Bull, and don’t forget the coconut water. Plug-in your online Bagelsmith order now for easy access, and prepare for a kickin’ weekend of beats and hangs. Because, face it. This borough doesn’t sleep, and neither do you. This week’s Club Crush picks will keep you grooving ’til the early morning hours.

1.) Steve Lawler @ Output (Thursday, October 19th) – When it comes to dope house music, it’s hard to find a better producer than Steve Lawler. We were lucky enough to catch the UK-based producer both times we attended The BPM Festival in Playa Del Carmen. It unfortunately won’t be warm enough to relive those moments while drinking frozen margaritas on the rooftop, so we’ll have to make some new memories. Thankfully, Lawler will be laying straight fire in the main room ALL NIGHT LONG. Get tickets HERE.

MayerHawthorne

2.) Bowl Train Special Edition feat. Mayer Hawthorne @ Brooklyn Bowl (Thursday, October 19th) – Well this sounds interesting. Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mayer Hawthorne will be taking over the decks at Brooklyn Bowl this Thursday for a special edition of Bowl Train. If Quest Love trusts him to throw down, then dammit, you know I do too. Get tickets HERE.

Klingande

3.) Klingande @ Schimanski NYC (Friday, October 20th). – Coat check season is officially here, but you’ll still want to dress light for Saturday night when French tropical house producer, Klingande, brings his smooth, island-inspired beats to Schimanski NYC’s dance floor. Known for his prominent use of piano and saxophone, these chill sounds will have you breaking a sweat in no time. Get tickets HERE.

4.) Black Coffee @ Output (Saturday, October 21st) – You’re going to need a stiff pick me up by Saturday. Output’s got your order up, when they present industry titan Black Coffee in the main room. We’ve seen Black Coffee light up festival crowds at events like TimeWarp NYC and Full Moon Fest. This techno giant will have the crowd at Output percolating like whoa. With beats this energizing, shut eye is out of the question. Pre-sale tickets are sold out. Limited tickets will be available at the door. Get more info HERE.

EliBlackFlamingo

5.) Dancing Room Only w/ Eli Escobar & Rissa Garcia @ The Black Flamingo (Friday, October 20th) – Looking for some Friday night FUNdido? Black Flamingo is serving up all the ooey goodness you need for a muscle-melting good time. The plant-based kitchen stays open until 11, so swing by early and grab a gourmet bite before heading downstairs for succulent nu disco sounds from resident Eli Escobar and guest Rissa Garcia. Entry is free with membership. Get info HERE.
